About Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR)
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), commonly known as Buna-N or nitrile rubber, is formed by the copolymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile. It is mainly used in the Automotive and Industrial sectors and is known as the workforce of rubber products in these sectors. Compared to natural rubbers, it is resistant to heat, puncture, fuel, and many chemicals. NBR is used in many applications, such as hose, belting, and cable, O-rings and seals, industrial and medical gloves and nitrile finger cots, molded and extruded products, adhesives and sealants, sponges, footwear and others.
